What is a TOTP code?
A TOTP code is calculated from a shared secret and the current time. Most authenticator setups use six digits and a 30-second period.
Does the public generator need my login password?
No. The public generator accepts a TOTP secret, not your account password. Never share your login password or one-time code with another person.
Can I recover a secret from an existing six-digit code?
No. A normal TOTP code cannot be reversed to reveal the underlying secret.
